Our location in Abbott Park IL, currently has an opportunity for a Program Manager. This role is within the Global Quality Operations of the Abbott Quality and Regulatory (AQR) organization. This role is of a business process owner of IT Systems utilized within AQR (e.g., Redshift Data Lake, ABTRAQ Audit, ABTRAQ Event, iQ, e-MDR). As a Program Manager, you will lead a cross functional team to establish and implement a dynamic structure that fosters and ensures consistent compliance that affect the IT Systems in AQR.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Ability to facilitate collaborative discussions across businesses and organizations to reach consensus on system priorities and requirements.
• Manage execution of project in accordance with organization's project management methodology.
• Develop, prioritize, and submit project plans, budgets and methodologies across a range of key projects.
• Define project resources, performance reviews and post implementation evaluations.
• Take ownership of the successful implementation of a set of projects that collectively can comprise a program.
• Manage the work of project managers.
• Provide leadership to assigned staff and supervisors by communicating and providing guidance towards achieving department objectives.
• Create immediate to long-range plans to carry out objectives established by top management.
• Develop and calculate a budget for a department or group to meet organizational goals.
• Forecast future departmental needs including human and material resources and capital expenditures.
• Build strategic partnerships to further departmental and organizational objectives.
• Embrace an environment that supports innovation and process improvement.
• Support quality management review, including data gathering, analysis and trending and preparing graphs.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Required

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
• 10+ years of relevant experience, which will include project management and program ownership.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to details
• Direct working knowledge of Data Lakes (e.g., Redshift)
• Experience with visualization tools, like Power BI.
• IT System Ownership and experience with Software Development methodologies
• Excellent verbal/written communication, user interaction & interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritize and triage deadline-driven tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Ability to communicate complex quantitative analysis in a clear, precise, actionable manner.
