Program Overview

Home Match, Front Porch’s shared housing program, empowers aging community members stay in their chosen homes, creates affordable places to live, and combats social isolation. Home match creates affordable housing options for local workforce, retirees and students while preventing the displacement and/or homelessness of the older adults in our community. Work is performed at Marin County office and in the community.

Job Description

The Program Manager is the primary point of contact for participants and leads every aspect of a match between two people which includes; intakes, home visits, processing applicants, introductions, facilitating a Living Together Agreement and ongoing match support. The Program Manager is responsible for increasing the visibility of the program in Marin County to attract a robust set of program applicants.

The Program Manager must feel comfortable working with a diverse set of individuals, cultures, and circumstances. Fluency in Cantonese or Mandarin is desirable. This position requires flexibility in hours including occasional evening and weekend work. Work is performed at Marin County office and in the community. Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the overall success and leadership of the program
  • Co-create, implement, and track the results of a community outreach plan – including the use of digital strategies to increase the program visibility and recruit a targeted number of participants
  • Use creative and innovative approaches to recruit participants
  • Manage a portfolio of program applicants
  • Manage every aspect of the match process
  • Occasional evening and weekend work will be required
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Self-motivated, curious, goal-oriented, and caring individual that works well independently
  • Able to work effectively and collaboratively within a team and with community partners
  • Ability to speak and write fluently in Cantonese or Mandarin is desirable
  • Strong verbal, written, and public speaking skills
  • Ability to form and maintain relationships with community-based organizations, community leaders, elected officials, and funders in order to meet specific programmatic objectives
  • Extensive experience with the use of digital tools
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills and an ability to be flexible and set priorities

Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or three plus years of relevant experience
  • Past roles could include outreach, social services, case management, customer service, real estate, program coordination
  • Established network in Marin County and knowledge of local housing challenges is desirable
  • CA Driver’s License- driving to various sites required
Salary range is $70,000 - $75,000
