Universal Avionics Systems Corp., (UA) a world-wide leader in the avionics industry, is seeking a Program Manager for our innovative ClearVision Enhanced Flight Vision System program. The Program Manager will manage engineering development programs in avionics, including software and hardware development, qualification, and certification.

Required Qualifications:

• BS in Engineering or Computer Science from an accredited college or university
• At least five (5) years' experience in an engineering development environment, from initial planning through manufacturing and support
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with MS Office applications and MS Project
• Demonstrated experience with prioritizing tasks across multi-disciplined teams

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong preference for BS in Mechanical, Electrical, or Software Engineering
• MBA or MS in Engineering Management
• Demonstrated avionics engineering development experience
• Experience with DO-160, DO-178, and DO-254

Duties include:

• Planning, directing, organizing, controlling, and tracking of programs
• Leading team development activities
• Risk management
• Cost management
• Schedule management
• Managing the development team during program execution
• Maintaining the program management data (schedules, plans, action items, etc.)
• Providing leadership to support updates to technical data as the design and or plans change
• Managing OEM customers or large accounts in the aerospace industry
