We are currently looking for a Full-Time Program Director at our Braddock facility.
Job Summary: This position is responsible for and provides administration of the residential treatment and work release programs for Braddock.

Essential Functions:
- Administers program services including program development, implementation, training, and evaluation.
- Understands and implements Gateway policies and procedures.
- Supervises the work of the Case Manager Coordinator, Custody and Control Coordinators, and administrative assistant.
- Establishes solid working relationships with the Department of Corrections, PA Board of Probation and Parole, and all other stakeholders in the program.
- Conducts regular staff meetings.
- Assures that all resident activities occur as scheduled.
- Maintains a working knowledge of the Department of Corrections/ACA regulations, licensing and standards and ensures that the program is in a state of readiness for DOC/ACA visits.
- Prepares for licensing and accreditation visits.
- Prepares daily, weekly, and monthly reports for the DOC.
- Develops, plans and implements procedures to assess and improve the quality of the programs.
- Monitors resident census daily with the goal of meeting or exceeding average daily census projections.
- Conducts unannounced visits/walk-throughs to monitor the condition of the physical plant and the operation and performance of the facility and the program to assure that services are provided in a safe, clean and well-ordered environment.
- Responds promptly to complaints from the community, referral sources, residents and family members.
- Responds to appeals from residents regarding disciplinary matters.
- Participates in community, marketing and public relations activities as needed.
- Prepares and manages the program budget.
- Oversees department purchases, including approval of invoices, staff travel expenses, and payroll matters.
- Completes staff performance evaluations and annual training plans in a timely manner for supervisees.
- Intervenes and documents appropriately when an employee demonstrates poor work performance.
- Coordinates and communicates with other Gateway programs and departments.
- Provides direct resident care as needed including lectures, groups, and crisis intervention.
Qualifying Education, Experience and Skill Requirements:
- Bachelors degree required; Masters degree preferred.
- Five (5) years of related administrative experience required. Prior experience in a human service agency, preferably in a drug and alcohol professional setting or a corrections setting.
- Prior supervisory experience required.
