Cherry Health is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) with a mission to improve the health and wellness of individuals by providing comprehensive primary and behavioral health care while encouraging access by those who are underserved.

The Behavioral Health Program Coordinator works closely with Clinical/Program/Site Managers, Therapists, Case Managers, patient registration staff, as well as patients and the public to ensure proper and accurate information is collected or distributed; and completes tasks to improve program operations. This is a full - time, benefit-eligible position. Typically working Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associate’s degree with a major in business administration or health care administration from an accredited program preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Compile data for tracking expiring authorizations and other documentation due dates to be shared as directed by supervisor.
  • Support intakes which includes managing intake calendar, scheduling and tracking intakes, completing Intake Data Referral Sheet, following up on no-show appointments, and updating provider roles in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Monitor court orders, which includes scheduling and monitoring follow-up visits.
  • Provide outreach calls and letters to individuals who are disengaged from services to support reengagement and linking back to service providers.
  • Send Notice of Adverse Benefit Determination and accompanying letters to individuals who are identified to discharge from treatment. Track and ensure discharges are finalized within timelines.
  • Participate in daily huddles and take on duties as identified.
  • Contact housing resources to identify availability for placement and share with treatment teams.
  • Track and administer nonclinical documentation as directed by supervisor.
  • Communicate with Guardians and other supports to ensure care coordination.
  • Perform work independently in support of clinical and administrative services.
  • Provide excellent customer service with confidence and compassion.
  • Scan and file documents for storage and distribution.
  • Record, prepare, and distribute meeting minutes.
  • Perform various administrative tasks including administrative support to clinical staff.
  • Request, track, and maintain authorizations.
  • Generate documents and reports; mail, fax, e-mail appropriate coordination-of-care, intake, and discharge paperwork.
  • Maintain confidential correspondence.
  • Document appropriately in Electronic Health Record.
  • Maintain program enrollment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience

Required
  • 1 - 3 years: One to three years of clerical experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job listed above.
