The Program Assistant and/or C.N.A. functions as part of the team to keep our participants engaged and active during the day. The Program Assistant and/or C.N.A. is the vital role of implementing activity programs, monitoring their safety and security, attending to the personal care needs of the participants, and ensuring the involvement and participation of the participants in a variety of activities that reflect their interest and ability.

· Conducts recreational activities such as: sports activities, arts and crafts, bingo, reminiscence, word games, trivia, cooking, etc… as directed by the Activity Director.

· Assists participants with activities of daily living, aiding with their coat and clothing, helping them ambulate, to/from and in the bathroom, aiding with meals and feeding.

· Assist with the preparations and distribution of meals and snacks.

· Follows toileting procedure and assists participants as necessary. Documents the toileting pattern of assigned participants.

· Documents on status of participants as requested by Activity Director.

· Leads small group discussions or activity with participants as directed by the Activity Director.

· Monitors location of all participants to ensure safety, and to anticipate their needs to prevent any possible accidents.

· Participates in scheduled staff meetings.

· Certified in CPR and First Aid

· CORI checks

Pay: $16.50 - $17.50 per hour
