IFF in Cedar Rapids is seeking a Process Technician II to join our team!

You Will Spend Your Time to ….

· Perform core process operations which may include prep, fermentation, recovery, granulation, material handling, receiving, shipping, and packaging.

· Monitor equipment and production process, working with our process control systems, troubleshooting equipment, and interacting with engineers to optimize the process.

· Participate in crew team activities that include defining best practices, SOP development, training, continuous improvement efforts and standardization.

· Effective team player. Willingly shares and accepts responsibilities, helps others, asks for help when needed.

· Communicate in an open, honest, and constructive manner. Keep a positive attitude and work through issues in a constructive manner.

· Ability to work rotating 12-hour alternate work schedule, that includes working 2 weeks on a day shift and then 2 weeks on night shift. The AWS schedule is a rotating pattern that includes working 7 to 14 days and every other weekend. There is a generous shift differential when working nights and scheduled premium pay.

· Ability to wear respirator

· Ability to do moderate to heavy lifting (55lbs)

Required Experience

· High School Diploma/GED

· A.A./B.S. or a related degree in a scientific or technical field preferred

· 2 + years of experience in a mechanical or industrial plant environment

· Demonstrated mechanical and troubleshooting skills

· Excellent written and oral communication abilities are required

· Computer experience with MS Office Suite

Compensation is based on a variety of factors including but not limited to work experience, skills, certifications, and location. Please note, the salary range indicates overtime availability.
