Emerge is currently recruiting qualified candidates for a direct hire 2nd Shift Production Supervisor Job near Lock Haven, PA for our client, a steadily growing manufacturing company with several locations. This is a direct hire job, and we are seeking candidates with an understanding of complex electrical/electronic assemblies who have experience supervising a team of assemblers. You will manage the assembly team of complex electrical wiring systems/wire harnesses. The man focus of this position is to maintain and improve uninterrupted production, product quality, schedule, cost efficiency, and employee relations and safety through managing all inputs to production processes. Responsibilities for the 2nd shift Wire Harness Production Supervisor Job near Lock Haven, PA include:

• Complete and deliver performance reviews for their team members.
• Lead Corrective Action Teams, coach, council, and discipline hourly and office hourly team members.
• Investigate rejections for root cause and corrective steps to eliminate future occurrences.
• Actively use the ERP computer system in performing daily duties and responsibilities.
• Read and interpret prints, routers and BOMs.
• Perform quality checks while walking the production floor.
• Back up the Production Manager when he/she is not in the building.
• Update the attendance logs and calendars daily.
• Handles all HR related duties for the shift, including approve and track vacations, performance issues, training, appraises job performance, coaches, and develops employee skills, manages conflict, and issues corrective action discipline to employees as needed.
• Directs, supervises, and coordinates all production processes in the Harness Department.
• Supervises employees in the manufacturing plant.
• Trains employees and acts as shift training coordinator for all training programs.

Qualifications:



• High school required, college preferred and 2 to 4 years of related supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Must have good computer skills including MS Excel and Word.
• Experience with an ERP system, especially JD Edwards enterprise software is helpful.

• Able to work weekends and overtime when there is a need.
