Support the manufacturing operations in the areas of scheduling, distribution of parts and materials, new item setup, change control, and BOM management. Manage suppliers and purchase orders related outsourced services. Manage raw materials and tooling warehouse, ensuring inventory management best practices are followed. Develop team, facilitate training, and monitor individual staff performance to ensure business objectives are achieved.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
• Participate in daily board walks and capacity reviews. • Maintain and communicate changes to ERP planning data. • Plan site production requirements to align with demand plan and maximize asset utilization. • Manage the flow of materials into the Jacksonville production facility from receiving through storage and onto the shop floor. • Lead direct reports on Receiving team in properly executing defined processes and focus on continuous improvement to drive process efficiencies. • Resolve issues related to materials or tooling. Communicate changes in product availability, including backorder recovery. • Manage vendors related to outside processes on manufactured items • Manage the completion of all appropriate paperwork for quality control of incoming material and deviations on the shop floor during production. • Manage raw material inventory.
Expected Areas of Competence
• Experience production planning in an MRP environment. • High level of multiple system navigation skills a must. (Excel, Word, Access, etc.) • Creation and management of standard reports • Dependability • Must act independently to determine corrective action required to resolve complex inventory issues. • Interact with operations supervisors, engineers. marketing, regional sales managers, supply chain, sourcing, and other levels of management to assure completeness of inventory/reporting issues. • Evidence of strong verbal and written communications required. • Accuracy, attention to detail, and timely follow. • Proven ability to work under pressure and successfully handle multiple priorities.
Education/Experience Requirements
• Bachelor degree required with preference for Supply Chain, Logistics, Information Systems, Engineering or other technical field major . • 5-7 years experience in logistic, supply chain, technical field and/or inventory management.
