Production Floater

20-30 hours per week, may turn into a full time position


Job Summary:

The Production Floater handles activities related to stocking, kitting, inventory and shipping & receiving.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Stores products as directed in designated, secure locations.
  • Maintain inventory cycle counts as directed.
  • Collects and properly disposes of scrap bracing, cardboard, and strapping; maintains a safe, clean and well-organized work environment.
  • Accurately kits shop orders.
  • Packages instruments according to specifications.
  • Serves as back-up for shipping & receiving clerk.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.


Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Good math and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Efficient time management skills.
  • Works well as a productive member of a team.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least two years of related experience required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to navigate and access a variety of storage spaces and shelving units by stretching, squatting, and reaching.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
