Production Floater
20-30 hours per week, may turn into a full time position
Job Summary:
The Production Floater handles activities related to stocking, kitting, inventory and shipping & receiving.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Stores products as directed in designated, secure locations.
- Maintain inventory cycle counts as directed.
- Collects and properly disposes of scrap bracing, cardboard, and strapping; maintains a safe, clean and well-organized work environment.
- Accurately kits shop orders.
- Packages instruments according to specifications.
- Serves as back-up for shipping & receiving clerk.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Good math and written communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Efficient time management skills.
- Works well as a productive member of a team.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least two years of related experience required.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to navigate and access a variety of storage spaces and shelving units by stretching, squatting, and reaching.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
