Rantec is located in Los Osos, California is an upper-tier designer and manufacturer of power supplies for the military and aerospace markets. We are an engineering-based company, with expertise in all aspects of power supply design, manufacturing and test.

Position Summary

The Production Coordinator will be the liaison between Materials, Engineering, and Production for existing product requirements and timeline to meet customer expectations. Collaborate with the production team to support material tracking, development schedules and order fulfillment. This a hands-on position that requires cross-functional collaboration to meet delivery goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Purchase requests provided in a complete form to Procurement.
  • Single point of information for the procurement status.
  • Coordinate the disposition of materials according to Bill of Materials (BOM) changes.
  • Track and coordinating that purchase and receipt of unreleased BOM raw material tracking by program.
  • Support Manufacturing Engineering for production activities.
  • Coordinate, prioritize and status the Work in Process between Materials, Test, Engineering, and Production.
  • Coordinate special requests from Engineering and determine timeline for parts, planning, machine capacity, etc.
  • Expedite purchase & production orders.
  • Perform capacity analysis to support optimizing production by working closely with planning.
  • Physically move and expedite materials throughout the facility.
  • Conduct cross functional stand-up meetings as necessary to keep information flowing.
  • Support new production introduction programs on an as needed basis when the environment calls for it.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • BS degree in Business, Engineering or related field.
  • 1 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Sound reasoning skills (critical thinking).
  • Good understanding of the full product cycle knowledge in order to predict, manager and assess the progress.
  • Ability to read and understand specifications sufficient to schedule and manage risk in procurement.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Tracking and monitoring skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Salary Range: $26.67 - $34.67
