Copart is looking for a Business Product UAT Specialist for our Copart offices located in Dallas, TX. This position will be reporting to the Director of Product and Project Management (Operations). The Product UAT Specialist is responsible for user acceptance testing (UAT) and quality testing for new enterprise system releases to ensure software products function as expected, evaluating system releases for process flow and usability, representing the business in meetings with the IT department, tracking the creation, evaluation, resolution, and re-testing of bugs and issues in the enterprise system, and providing feedback and reporting to the Vice President of Operations regarding the enterprise system.

Individuals in this role will function under the Copart Operations organization, acting as the final validation and safeguard for all internal product releases that impact Copart operations employees and the overall Copart Operations process flow. Individuals must become subject matter experts in Copart Operational policy and procedure and will complete testing and product evaluations from the perspective of a field operations employee to ensure that our internal operations customers receive the most viable possible product.

Individuals in this role will be effective communicators by creating training content, instructional documents, and step-by-step guides that accompany products being released. Individuals will communicate new releases, updates, and products as they are put into production. Individuals will also provide direct support to internal customers regarding product releases, system rollouts, pilots, best practices, routine inquiries, and process improvements.

NOTE: This is not a developer role. All testing is manual end-to-end testing to validate products as they will truly be used by operational employees in the field, alongside detailed change management and field training.
This position will assist in duties including, but not limited to, the following:

• Review system and business process flow to analyze root causes of bottlenecks, and other barriers to effectiveness and efficiency
• Perform UAT and quality control testing for the enterprise system at various stages of the production process to ensure products comply with company operational policies and procedures
• Troubleshoot quality-related issues as they arise during the testing phase and after product release by working directly with teams to review problems, replicate them, and troubleshoot for resolution
• Use test management software and other project management tools to evaluate and track bugs & issues, as well as record test data and results
• Compile and examine statistical data such as graphs, charts, or spreadsheets to determine and maintain the quality and reliability of products
• Work closely with IT to ensure any new process or technical change is tested and articulated to the field. Will work to create any applicable training materials as well
• Represent the business in meetings with various departments, particularly the IT department
• Cross-train with the Business Process Development Compliance specialists to become a Subject Matter Expert in Copart Operational procedure
• Leverage operational expertise to evaluate system changes and improvements
• Will work on multiple projects as assigned by VP of Corporate Operations and the COO
• Other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Experience:

• Must have 1+ year experience in a related role
• Ability to work effectively with multiple lines of business and technical teams
• The individual must be comfortable adapting to change
• Flexibility regarding changes in project requirements and shifting priorities
• Work independently with minimal guidance & supervision
• Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Windows Outlook and Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel
• Ability to travel up to 10% per year
• Detail-oriented and organized with strong multitasking and time-management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• College education preferred
• Previous Team Leadership a plus
