Corteva Agriscience is seeking a highly motivated candidate for the position of Product Chemistry Leader within Analytical Sciences, Crop Protection Discovery & Development, located in Indianapolis, IN, USA. This position is responsible for leading talented product chemistry subject matter experts (SMEs), regulatory document management specialists, and scientists through the development, registration, and launch of new crop protection products. This position is ideally suited to individuals with prior people leadership, as well as analytical, product chemistry or relevant scientific and/or regulatory experience. The successful candidate should have a proven track record of developing talent and high performing teams from scientific backgrounds. This role includes partnering directly with key stakeholders in R&D, Supply Chain, Quality, and Manufacturing. The candidate will also have an opportunity to advance Corteva's commitment to a diverse and inclusive work environment.

- Recruit, select, lead and develop talent.
- Demonstrate understanding of analytical and regulatory requirements to achieve and maintain registrations of new and existing crop protection products.
- Develop strategies to enhance organizational effectiveness and build relationships with internal and external partners, including CROs.
- Advise and guide scientific staff through analytical and regulatory topics.
- Collaborate with organizational partners to sustain and foster a culture of integration, teamwork, and joint problem solving.
- Budget planning, establishing organizational strategies, and strategic workforce planning.
- Cross functional collaboration to deliver and maintain product registrations.
- Strong collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure regulatory and scientific excellence across team.
- Lead cross-functional projects and represent Product Chemistry on cross-functional project teams.
- Engage with industry associations and networks.
- Advocate for excellence in analytical sciences and product chemistry with scientists throughout the company.
Qualifications
Requirements:

- PhD with a minimum of 5 years of experience, or BS/MS with a minimum of 8 years of experience in chemistry, biology, engineering or relevant scientific or regulatory field.
- Proven leadership, ability to align, motivate, and empower team members.
- Excellent understanding of analytical chemistry and associated methodologies.
- Budget planning, establishing organizational strategies, and managing scientific staff.
- Effective communication, collaboration and negotiation.
- Demonstrated ability for critical thinking and innovation.
- Ability to engage and align with key stakeholders.
- Ability to communicate challenges as well as developing and executing contingency plans.
- Demonstrate an ability to apply and promote a growth and continuous improvement mindset with the teams.
