Description:
As a Global Category Lead, you will identify and select suppliers who provide outstanding value in quality products and/or services that provide the best in class value to Amplify and our customers.
You may have a focus in multiple indirect categories including IT, marketing and professional services. You will help build and/or strengthen relationships and lead negotiations with suppliers. Be responsible for the development and management of global category strategies crafted to leverage Amplify''s purchasing power and optimize supplier performance while demonstrating technology to strengthen processes.
Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Finance, HR, IT, Sales and Marketing business partners to understand priorities, develop roadmaps and source Category initiatives such as Staffing Agencies, Print Providers, Technology Software and Hardware
  • Provide technical expertise, advising on market dynamics, risk, and third-party solutions
  • Translate the business’ vision into procurement requirements, to develop and implement strategic category plans that meet the goals of scalability, quality, and cost optimization
  • Issue RFPs, build scoring criteria, think analytically to evaluate, and compare proposals, summarize outcomes, and present recommendations to senior management
  • Perform fit/gap assessments to find synergies across the organization to leverage economies of scale
  • Review and redline third-party contracts (MSA, SOW, LOI, etc.), negotiate the best commercial terms, mitigate risks and implement the Delegation of Authority requirements for execution
  • Hold regular cross-functional stakeholder meetings to align on progress and new opportunities
  • Establish trust with external and internal stakeholders to drive engagement levels and develop quality relationships
  • Identify and mitigate roadblocks to support resolutions and maintain internal business partner satisfaction
  • Use agility to move between big picture thinking and detailed analysis
  • Handle, track and report on the performance of strategic third-party alliances, category plans, and spend data for Categories.
  • Utilize Contract Management System to store and coordinate third-party contracts and use the resulting data to proactively address contracting issues especially around orphaned, perpetual, and auto-renew contracts
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Business, or related fields
  • Minimum 5+years’ experience in strategic sourcing or procurement indirect categories
  • Guide in sophisticated functions and features in Google Suite, MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required
  • Experience in using procurement systems required (P2P, S2C, CLM, SRM)
  • Experience in developing and running RFPs required
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in supplier management activities including QBRs, Supplier scorecards and/or ranking preferred
  • Consistent track record of leading sophisticated negotiations and sourcing transactions
  • Ability to clearly and convincingly present written and oral information
  • Strong cross functional communication and collaboration skills and experience
What we offer:

The gross salary range for this role is $80,000 - $95,000 . This role is eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus that rewards individual and company performance.
