Job Summary:
The incumbent is responsible for operation of the proctor roaster machine.
Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- Monitors the operation of two large capacities Proctor Roaster.
- Sets and adjusts temperature and flow rates.
- Monitors seasoning and coating application and mixes all ingredients needed.
- Makes necessary adjustments to keep products in grade.
- Responsible for set up, operational adjustments to production equipment and monitoring equipment to ensure that quality, quantity standards and production standards are met.
- Required to collect, measure, graph and catalog cost variances, spillage, down time and foreign material, production and product information.
- Conducts analysis and prepares reports of product and production findings, equipment status, and cross train other employees.
- Also contribute to team environment leading to continuous improvement.
- Employee must understand requirements and systems used to maintain product quality, production schedules and ordering materials.
- Must understand Blue Diamond line certification, HACCP process and auditing, Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Must accomplish general clean up and perform minor maintenance procedures.
- May be required to perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required by Supervisor.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
- Knowledge of machine operation to keep machinery and equipment operating.
- Must have excellent communication skills.
- Must be able to work under limited supervision.
- Must regularly exercise discretion an independent judgment.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and work schedules.
- Must have basic math skills.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 year industrial machine operation experience preferred.
- Some lift-truck experience preferred.
- Industrial machine operation experience, manufacturing and/or experience in related field preferred.
Educational Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
