PRN Hospital Admissions Coordinator Job at KVC Hospitals Inc.
The Hospital Admissions Coordinator for KVC Hospitals assists with the coordination of intakes and assessments for short term hospitalization of clients. The job is fast paced and requires accuracy and attention to detail. The Coordinator will have contact with physicians, nurses and UR to ensure timely, accurate and complete assessments are performed on children and youth and make appropriate referrals for placement and services based on the assessment. The Coordinator is responsible for completing intake and assessment documentation with new patients and their families.
Education Requirements for Hospital Admissions Coordinator: Bachelor’s degree in a human service field (Social Work, Social Services, Psychology, Sociology, Human Services, Education, Criminal Justice/Criminology) preferred.
Licensure/Certification Requirements for Hospital Admissions Coordinator: Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
Experience Requirements for Hospital Admissions Coordinator: One year experience in a human services field required. This could include schooling/training. Experience working with economically disadvantaged, vulnerable or at-risk youth and/or young adults. Prefer a minimum of two years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Pay Rate starts at $16 per hour depending on education and experience.
Must be 20 years old to apply. Pre-employment drug screen, physical and background check required.
