PRINCIPAL TALENT ADVISOR, TALENT ACQUISITION
RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Executive Director of Global Talent Acquisition, The Principal Talent Advisor serves as a senior recruiter on the Global Talent Acquisition team. In this role you will be the Principal Talent Advisor for our Global Commercial Operations team in North America, as well as take on other clients in Corporate Groups, R&D and Technical Operations, as needed.
You will be responsible for full life cycle recruiting by understanding the short- and long-term talent needs of the organization(s) that you support and creating and executing recruiting strategy to meet those needs. Developing the recruiting strategy will require you to understand current market conditions, as well as how to leverage all the recruiting tools at your disposal. Internally, you will successfully partner with functional Vice Presidents, Hiring Managers, interview teams, Talent Coordinators, HR Business Partners, HR Operations and Compensation. If needed, you will partner with external partners to deliver against recruiting goals. You will ensure exceptional candidate experience.
We use recruiting metrics as well as client, colleague and candidate feedback to measure our successes.
The Principal Talent Advisor will use information about the talent needs of the organization to:
- Develop comprehensive sourcing strategies based on market conditions.
- Ensure hiring managers and interview teams understand and are trained to perform their roles in helping to identify and evaluate highly qualified talent.
- Appropriately leverage different tools and partners to identify, engage, evaluate, and hire top talent.
- Continually review metrics to understand and report out on the health of your recruiting efforts.
- Keep your clients and candidates up to date on your efforts.
- Leverage Talent Acquisition programs (i.e., Diversity Recruiting, Refer A Friend, BioBeyond), processes (interviewing, scheduling) and tools (Jobvite, LinkedIn, SeekOut) with in an eye towards optimizing their value and continuous improvement.
Required Skills:
Candidates for this position will hold the following qualifications and be able to demonstrate the following competencies to be considered as a suitable applicant.
- 10+ years of Talent Acquisition experience is required, with evidence of consistent growth into roles of increased complexity
- Exceptional communication skills – both at the executive and individual contributor level – with a propensity for proactive communication and exceptional follow up
- Learning agility and critical thinking skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable recruitment strategies
- Strong technical expertise in direct sourcing techniques, as well as strong collaborative experience with external recruiting partners
- Systems savvy with a variety of ATS's, LinkedIn Recruiter
- Strong influencing and negotiating skills
- Ability to prioritize work and sees clearly what actions will lead to the highest value
- Thorough understanding of compensation guidelines, legal implications in hiring, and an understanding of relocation and immigration processes
- Must be willing to be onsite an average of 2x per week
Desired Skills:
- Biotech or pharmaceutical experience is highly desired
- Broad HR background is helpful, but not required
- Management experience
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Business or the Sciences. Master’s degree or advanced certification in HR desired.

In the U.S., the salary range for this position is $ 131,800 to $ 197,600 per year, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A discretionary bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
