Heritage Landscape Supply Group is the leader in online sales in the Irrigation & Landscape Supply industry with locations nationwide.
As a Pricing Analyst you will study online pricing to determine the best target price for the products we sell on our ecommerce websites. You will examine the competition and industry standards, identifying any specific strategies that our competition is using. You will help determine where we should price our products, maintain list pricing, and determine our tolerance to make exceptions. You will be key in helping to determine competitive pricing of our products, ensuring maximum growth for our company.
While tracking consumer habits is an important aspect of the pricing analyst’s job, you will also observe the internal costs of a product or service. As a Pricing Analyst you will also take note of the product cost (from the manufacture), packing and shipping cost, as well as marketing costs.
You will be responsible for working with our Web Team and Marketing to ensure pricing strategies and methodologies are reflected in the pricing tools used. Also responsible to effectively measure price performance and report pricing data efficiently through automation.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct research to learn the history of the products and previous market trends for the products sold on our websites
- Set product prices, communicate with company stakeholders and track the sales of the products over time, making changes to the prices as necessary to maximize profit
- Comprehensive knowledge of pricing processes, systems, and tools.
- Demonstrate comprehensive, depth and breadth of pricing science understanding to drive enablement of innovative strategic pricing approaches
- Understand and can anticipate the implications/impact of market conditions, field response, and competitive response in support of pricing strategies
- Review market trends, customer insights and profitability analytics to ensure reasonableness of findings and proactively seeks cross-functional input to develop pricing strategies
- Utilize perspectives of all audiences of pricing (finance, sales, product management, marketing, customer)
- Drive strategies in spite of opposition from various audiences
- Clearly and concisely articulate sustained pricing strategies
- Grow total gross profit by identifying pricing actions that encourage higher sale values, conversion rates, margin rates, and customer satisfaction
- Lead the day-to-day pricing activities across all product categories
- Track competitor pricing, and feed market intelligence into current market-based pricing toolsets.
- Graph data indicating pricing trends over time, which will help determine if we can charge more at a specific time of year or during a certain season
Skills & Education:
- Minimum of two years of related experience
- Advanced experience in the Sales & Commercial Pricing. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree (or a high school diploma with relevant experience)
