The Pricing Analyst (PA) position has primary responsibility for Coining’s day-to-day quoting activity. The PA will implement the company’s pricing policy to achieve maximum margins as well as increase revenue. The PA will coordinate with the product manager as well as the global sales team in quoting key programs and accounts, as well as prioritize what business is quoted based on stakeholder feedback. Occasionally, it will be necessary to coordinate with production and engineering on how to quote new products. This position is also responsible for the maintenance of databases for Coining’s expanding online-store solution, which will include coordination with the product manager as well as IT. Ultimately, the PA will be responsible for, and compensated for, achieving the company’s overall revenue and profit objectives. As such, the candidate should know at the outset that if successful, the opportunity exists to move to other business unit functional areas such as Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations Supervision, Finance or a larger Commercial role. This role is fully onsite.

  • Manage price and margin metrics of existing business in RFQ/RFP stages.
  • Analyze, gather, cleanse, and validate large data sets for growth, trends, risk, and optimization
  • Drive continuous improvement on internal cost accuracy to ensure standardized reporting.
  • Track monthly price performance metrics vs. target and generate actionable plans
  • Analyze and leverage current market trends, conditions, competitors, and customer pricing targets for opportunities to increase price and maximize profitability
  • Identify opportunities for enhancement, and positively contribute to pricing/costing process improvements
  • Continuously improve key metrics within area of responsibility
  • Must be able to effectively communicate within the organization and with customers
  • Support maintenance activities of the Coining E-Commerce solution through regular updates of databases and pricing algorithms

REQUIREMENTS FOR CONSIDERATION

  • BS / BA required with 2-4 years of relevant experience
  • At least 2 years of dedicated experience in Pricing or Cost management - Preferably in the industrial manufacturing industry
  • Preferred experience - Sales Force, Material Resources Planning System
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
  • Strong attention to detail, strong analytical skills and ability to analyze large data sets
  • Experience generating insights from pricing and sales data including transaction pricing analytics
  • Ability to work in complex teams, collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive continuous improvement
  • Proven ability to adapt and respond effectively in fast paced challenging environment and manage multiple, and oftentimes competing, priorities
  • Good communication skills – both written and verbal – and active listening skills
  • Experience with continuous process improvements a plus
  • Understanding of financial knowledge of P&L, profitability analysis, a plus
