Job Summary
The Rubrik Creative Team is looking for an experienced Presentation Designer. As a visual storyteller, you will be responsible for bringing our vision and strategy to life, working closely with executives and internal teams to create compelling brand narratives. You will guide the processes and requirements to share how our technology is making a difference in the lives of our customers. This role will report to the Creative Director, who is based in Palo Alto, CA.
Responsibilities
- The Presentation Designer will work autonomously and manage individual projects to completion
- Will work closely with executive and cross-functional teams to enhance the brand story for both internal and external audiences
- Design With Purpose: understand the content of presentations and apply best design practices to create slide content for optimal viewing
- Turn data, concepts and research into compelling learning materials through presentations while adhering to brand guidelines and design standards
- Able to effectively manage a wide range of projects simultaneously, by quickly grasping objectives and meeting tight deadlines
- A solid understanding of information graphics and the ability to readily create data visualizations that are clear and easy to understand
- Design custom graphics, illustrations, and diagrams, as well possess the ability to find and apply appropriate stock imagery, illustration, and design elements to complement presentation themes and content
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional Presentation, Keynote, and/or PowerPoint Design experience, with ability to articulate and advocate design decisions (this is not a Graphic or Brand Design role)
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Marketing, Advertising, Fine Arts or related field
- A portfolio of work showcasing strong foundation in design principles (typography, color theory, hierarchy, contrast, and grid / alignment)
- Must be an effective communicator and collaborator, working across various teams with the ability to turn around quality work under tight deadlines
- Highly skilled in Google Slides, Microsoft PowerPoint and Keynote
- Based in the United States, West to Central (US) locations preferred
Additional Qualifications:
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated, curious, and personable
- Able to translate strategic concepts and ideas into a compelling story (see the forest through the trees)
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite software; namely Illustrator and Photoshop
- Experience in animation is a plus
Pursuant to Colorado regulations, if this job is performed in Colorado, the minimum annual salary is $93,000, plus bonus potential, equity and benefits.
For candidates who will perform this role in New York City, the minimum salary is $103,000 and the maximum salary is $141,900. Additionally, there is bonus potential, equity and benefits.
