ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The Preschool Teacher is responsible for providing a safe, healthy and educational learning environment for all children and families served in accordance with state regulations. The Preschool Teacher will oversee the operations of the classroom with a focus on creating an environment that encourages children to develop a love of learning and become self-confident, self-motivated and independent explorers of the world.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education / Experience: Must be at least 21 years of age and have current EEC Preschool Teacher Certification.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE

• CPR and First Aid Certification
• Knowledge of Early Childhood Development
• Minimum one-year management experience in a preschool setting or related field.
• Knowledge of modern office methods working with computers, data entry and with Microsoft Office, email, and internet
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; above average interpersonal skills
• Honesty, integrity and operating as a team player are critical to this organization
• Exercise good judgment and maintain confidentiality of critical and sensitive information, records, and reports.
• Understand, interpret, and apply EEC regulations standards and departmental policies and procedures.
• Ability to work well independently and in a team environment
• Ability to balance multiple assignments and adjust direction and priorities within fast paced and multi-faceted work environment
• Report to scheduled shift consistently and on time.
• Follow policies, procedures and rules of the organization.
• Maintain high program standards.
• Be a strong advocate for the Club being a positive place to be.

Hours per week:

• 30 hrs

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
