We are building our Pre-Sales department with a motivated Sales Engineers with a focus in the MSP and Networking spaces. This is a full-time position in our Dallas office reporting to our VP of Solutions Engineering. This position could potentially sit in our Houston office; however, the preference is for interested candidates to be based in Dallas.
As part of our national Pre-Sales team, this role will collaborate with customers, internal teams, and vendors to develop solutions that meet the unique challenges presented within the MSP and Networking spaces. The ability to successfully connect technology with customers business objectives is critical to this role’s long-term success and the chosen candidate will play a key role in securing solutions for our existing customers and winning over new ones.   • Accountable for supporting the Sales Teams and meeting or exceeding Sales goals by: We have each other’s back.
  • Developing strategies and solutions to meet customer specific requirements.
  • Ownership of delivering on technical requirement and cost constraints.
  • Build out and guide presentations, offerings, and contract negotiations.
  • Present as a confident subject matter expert within a variety of industries in the MSP and Networking space.
  • Monitor market dynamics and emerging technologies to continually stay abreast with the best-in-class offerings and create solutions to new and evolving customer driven challenges – after all, we are growing.
  • Building key partnerships with internal stakeholders such as Product Managers and individual Sales members. Effectively communicate and partner on an individual level while being able to escalate as necessary. Set your team up for success. Nobody likes to be left in the dark.
  • Ensure timely and effective communication with all internal teams, vendors, and customers. Respond to internal communication within a timely manner to ensure that all parties are aware of status or any impact to timeline outside of normal conditions. Focus on proactive communication. Remember, we are here to provide excellent customer service.
  • With the support of the VP of Solutions Engineering, provide knowledge transfer and detailed design/ operational documentation to customers and relevant internal parties. What can we say? We like structure.
  • Partner with the inside quoting team, having a high focus on quoting accuracy and consistency in presenting at the Meriplex standard level of service. Researching pricing and market penetration potential for emerging technologies. This is how you become the best subject matter expert!
  • Regularly attend and engage in technology specific conferences.__

Let’s work together to succeed together! A minimum 4 years of Managed Services environment, 2 should be in supporting or working internally for mid-enterprise to enterprise companies required with the following technical applications is a good start:

  • Ex. Office 365 - multiple applications including advance Excel/Visio skills
  • Microsoft Exchange Server - all versions

Some experience in the following areas will serve you greatly in this role:

  • Vertical sales experience in IT solutions highly preferred.
  • Strong technical knowledge and experience with IT infrastructure and servers.
  • Well versed in enterprise architecture and/or IT strategies.
  • Comfortable working with multiple internal teams, from individual contributors to senior executives, as well as building/maintaining relationships with customers, partners, alliances etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand business problems and a passion for applying technology solutions and leveraging technology trends to deliver results.
  • Demonstrated ability to document information with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent spoken and written communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills.
  • Certifications (knowledge or equivalent experience) in Microsoft, VMWare, SDWAN, Fortinet, AWS, Azure and Cisco. Others preferred but not required.

Work Schedule/Travel - Standard Meriplex business hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00. Post COVID there is an expectation that this role will be heavily customer interfacing and could be traveling as much as 30-50%. Currently domestic travel only. Candidates should be comfortable in a traveling environment and will be 100% in office for the first 90 days of employment.
