The Turner Company is now hiring a Safety Supervisor for our Rhome, Texas plant.

This role will be assisting with the development, communication, implementation, monitoring, and auditing of safety and environmental programs.

This role will be working in an industrial environment- inside and outside.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain company compliance with all appropriate OSHA and state safety regulations and maintain appropriate reporting and accountability systems.
• Conduct comprehensive policy audits and maintain all OSHA and PSM recordkeeping requirements.
• Prepare, implement, and execute safety and OSHA required training, both awareness and authorization, for new hires and current employees on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Investigate all incident reports for trends, lead serious lost-time and recordable investigations, and drive the development of necessary corrective actions
• Track OSHA recordable incidents, rates and trends; and regularly report safety performance measures to management.
• Assist in strategic planning for the site to insure potential environmental and safety consequences of the manufacturing process are considered
• Serve as primary advisor with regards to all safety, site compliance and continuous improvement programs/projects.
• Conduct safety and awareness training for contractors, and visitors
• Work with the Safety Director and other leadership team in identifying, scoping, and participating in and facilitating process improvement and Kaizen events.
• Conduct audits to ensure sustainment and completion of safety and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Attend required management team meetings, safety committee meeting, and continuous improvement meetings/projects.
• Ensure the proper storage and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous wastes
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Bi-Lingual is a PLUS!!
• Manufacturing Safety Experience REQUIRED
• Must be energetic and passionate about influencing the safety culture
• Education Certificates- One of the following SHEP, CSHO, OSHA 500 or 501.
• Education- Bachelor’s Degree Preferred or 2-3 years’ experience in Concrete/Precast safety role
• Knowledge of all applicable government safety regulations and plant specific safety policies
• Understanding of Continuous Improvement / Lean concepts
• OSHA compliance training and understanding 6S standards
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Strong presentation skills
• Solid problem-solving skills
• Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills required
• Strong time management, team building, and systems sustainment skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
