Title: Dental Practice Manager

Classification: Exempt/Salaried Full Time

Reports to: Regional Manager

Each practice manager is part of a larger team with this title and responsibilities that collaborate and support each other.

Position Summary: The Practice Manager oversees the daily operations, staffing, and finances of the practice to ensure fundamental systems and protocols are in place and functioning effectively to reach practice goals. This individual is responsible for overseeing the development of the staff, the financial health of the practice, community outreach, and marketing. Generally, the Practice Manager will be responsible for implementing and monitoring the vision and systems as set by NEDP leadership. Other duties include facilities management, strategic planning, goal setting with the directors and regional managers, and assuring the overall patient satisfaction and goodwill of the practice.

Skills & Abilities:

Management of Personnel Resources Hiring, motivating, developing, and directing people as they work, identifying the best people for the job, and issuing discipline and termination when necessary.

Management of Operations: Directing the operation of the practice and its efficient functioning.

Leadership and Professionalism: Represent the practice in a professional, pleasant, and cooperative manner.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Bachelor of Science Degree OR comparable experience may be considered to substitute for all or part of the required education.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a medical or dental office setting.
  • Preferred 3-5 years of managerial experience in a medical or dental office setting.
  • Knowledge of billing codes and understanding of insurance plans is a plus.

  • Maintains the highest level of confidentiality and adherence to HIPAA standards.
  • Adheres to strict safety guidelines and procedures to OSHA and office standards.
  • Flexible and willing to perform duties of others in their absence.
