Eastern Gateway Community College invites applications for our Practical Nursing Clinical Adjunct Instructor. The Practical Nursing Program at EGCC Youngstown has been growing, and so has our need for additional staff. Currently, our clinicals are scheduled between 7 am and 7 pm (options may expand as the program continues to grow). This is a part-time position (two clinical shifts per week) and pays $40/hour .

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Must be willing to teach two 8 or 12 hour clinical per week
• Excellent teaching skills and the ability to interact effectively with students
• Answer student inquiries within a reasonable timeframe (24-48 hours is standard)
• Grade students’ performance fairly and to the College’s standards & policies
• Use a variety of instructional strategies to support and motivate the students

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• An Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) or Diploma Nursing degree is required

SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships using strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate well, both verbal and written.
• Must possess integrity, enthusiasm, determination, and dependability.
• Demonstrated sensitivity to diversity and multicultural issues.
• Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check
