What we are looking for: We are hiring a Posting Prepper for our medical billing team. The Posting Prepper will be responsible for preparing large volumes of payments and other work into manageable portions for all Billing Departments.

Responsibilities:

· Read and sort Explanation of Benefits (EOBs)

· Add, batch, sort all payments that come through the mail for patient purposes

· Process insurance credit cards daily

· Obtain missing information or payments

· Return payments with missing information to patients

· Sort the lockbox into manageable batches, correspondence, and payments

· Deposit and batch all misdirected mail that is delivered to our building

· Balance and report insurance credit cards ran in the applicable software system

· Distribute work from the lockbox(s) to appropriate departments

· Prepare and process insurance credit cards ran in the applicable software system, supporting the implementation of paperless processes

Requirements:

· High school diploma required

· One year of experience working with insurances and payment posting in a medical billing office

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office products

· Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.

· Demonstrated capability in maintaining strict confidentiality with patient information.

· Must be well organized, extremely accurate and have attention to detail.

· Ability and willingness to learn and apply new software and technologies efficiently.
