Transmission Details: What you’ll need to do:
DISASSEMBLY

• Entering tag number into computer to verify bill of materials and move to disassembly.
• Use impact gun to remove bolts and nuts.
• Use snap ring pliers to remove snap rings.
• Use picks to remove seals.
• Detail parts to get them ready for washer.
• Load parts into basket for washer to final wash.

INSPECTION

• Enter a tag # into computer to move to inspection.
• Use air nozzle to dry parts.
• Inspect all parts per Work Instructions.
• Run lathe to polish parts to spec.
• Soda blast parts for heavy cleaning of parts.
• Use computer to inventory all parts and move to next status.

SUBASSEMBLY

• Check Bill of Material to verify correct parts per application.
• Install seals and bushings.
• Install pistons and plates into drums.
• Use press to install snap rings.
• Install bearings and snap rings in or on gears and planets to build subassemblies.
• Measure clearances with dial indicator to spec.

FINAL ASSEMBLY

• Use impact guns or torque tools to verify torque.
• Bolt case into stand to rotate for assembly.
• Install subassembly parts into case.
• Measure clearances and endplays.
• Complete oil test to verify no bleed off from seals or damaged parts.
• Install valve body, filter and oil pan.
• Install converter.
• Enter tag number to move unit to finished product status.
