Job Description
The Plant Manager is the local leader of the chemical manufacturing and distribution facility in Buckeye, AZ. Thatcher Company of Arizona is committed to ensuring that our products are manufactured in a manner that provides value to customers while maintaining top safety and environmental standards. The Plant Manager is responsible for leading the team to achieve these operational goals and objectives.
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities
- Drives continuous improvement with operational, safety, environmental, performance and quality metrics.
- Works with local team and corporate support to ensure that plant resources are being utilized to achieve objectives.
- Ensures compliance of the site with corporate policies, federal regulations, and state regulations, including OSHA, DOT, EPA and local environmental agencies.
- Leads and provides training to team members to develop a culture of continuous improvement.
- Ensures data integrity through transactions and inventory control of raw materials and manufactured goods.
- Ensuring daily monitoring and plant maintenance.
- Maintains cleanliness standards for facilities and equipment.

Desired Qualifications
- Excellent leadership, communication, and troubleshooting skills
- 5+ years of successful supervisory/management experience in a chemical manufacturing/packaging or similar environment. Cross functional leadership experience preferred.
- Knowledge of hazardous chemicals and industry standards regarding good manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Proficiency with standard ERP systems and Microsoft Office products
- Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing experience preferred.
- Must be able to provide documentation showing legal eligibility to work in the United States
