PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Plan and manage the activities of all areas of the warehouse and manufacturing including blow molding, assembly, requisitioning parts for assembly; and shipping, receiving and inventory control ensuring products meets both the Company’s and Customers’ quality and delivery expectations.

RELATIONSHIPS:

Reports To: Director of Engineering/Operations

Pay: $55,000.00- $80,000.00

Key Responsibilities:

· Plan and monitors departmental performance measures, including visual controls and provides regular progress reports.

· Must demonstrate a basic understanding of (MRP) Material Resource Planning including supply and demand dynamics and inventory management.

· Suggest changes in workflow and use of equipment to increase efficiency in production/warehouse.

· Create, document, and maintain streamlined shipping and material handling processes with a focus on simplicity and repeatability.

  • Plan the quarterly, monthly and the day-to-day allocation of resources (equipment, people, materials, and systems) to efficiently, safely and cost effectively achieve performance targets as agreed upon with President.

· Provide monthly, weekly and day to day work direction and communication of production specifications, and job orders to direct reports, and assigns duties.

· Coach, lead, and direct all activities during shift; establish and foster a "Team Atmosphere"

· Ensure all employees are properly trained; trains or arranges training for new employees and cross training for existing employees.

· Communicates and enforces company safety policies; housekeeping requirements; and ensures compliance with OSHA rules and regulations.

· Prioritize, request, and ensure equipment maintenance and repairs are completed daily, monthly to maximize safety and efficiency.

· Ensure employees are up to safety training standards.

· Provides direction in the resolution of technical and production-related problems to assure completion of weekly schedules that meet or exceed Company and Customer expectations.

· Report shipping & cycle counting related metrics to the organization (Fill Rate Report).

· Assist in managing the layout of the material storage areas based on inventory turn goals, and manage the warehouse operating system relating to the receiving, storing, inventorying, issuing, and shipping of materials, supplies, products, and parts.

· Track and report inventory anomalies.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 5 years’ experience or equivalence of experience and education. Prior supervisor and production planning and assembly experience required.

Language Ability:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Math Ability:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word; Microsoft Excel; Visual Supplier and Microsoft Outlook.

Valid Driver's License
