Responsibilities:

• Advise clients of claim liability and legal rights.
• Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for clients.
• The Assistant will help with scheduling and calendaring
• Conduct depositions.
• Assist in preparation for settlement or trial
• Assist in Court filings
• Respond to discovery demands.
• Ability to conduct discovery and draft motions.
• Ability to present cases in court, and argue motions and appeals.
• Keeps clients informed by maintaining contact; communicating case progress with empathy.
• Gather evidence to initiate and support legal actions, by such means as interviewing clients and witnesses to ascertain the facts of the case.
• Evaluate findings and develop strategies and arguments in preparation for the presentation of cases.
• Accomplishes organizational goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Qualifications:

• 5–7 years of experience as a plaintiff Personal Injury experience
• Currently barred in FL
• Experience handling depositions required; experience deposing expert witnesses preferred
• Have an enthusiastic positive approach and be a team player
• Exceptional attention to detail, strong writing and legal research skills, and a strong work ethic
