Nurse Practitioner or Physician Associate (Advanced Practice Provider) Career

We are looking for an advanced practice provider to join our multidisciplinary team providing primary care services to patients in a range of clinically diverse and professionally rewarding settings as part of a dynamic healthcare organization.

Your duties will include recording patients' medical histories, performing physical exams, administering diagnostic tests, and creating patient care plans. You will also administer treatment and observe patients' progress over time.

To be successful as an advanced practice provider, you should be empathetic but resolute in your decision-making, and attentive to detail. Ultimately, a top-notch nurse practitioner will exhibit cultural competence and exceptional teamwork skills.

Advanced Practice Provider Responsibilities:

  • Performing physical exams and patient observations.
  • Recording patients' medical histories and symptoms.
  • Creating patient care plans and contributing to existing ones.
  • Ordering, administering, and analyzing diagnostic tests. Monitoring and operating medical equipment.
  • Diagnosing medical and mental health diseases.
  • Ordering and administering medicine and other treatments. Detecting changes in patients' health and modifying treatment plans, as needed.
  • Consulting with healthcare professionals and collaborating providers.
  • Teaching patients and their families to manage and prevent illness and injury utilizing culturally sensitive communication which accommodates the patient’s health literacy level.

APP Requirements:

  • Masters degree from an accredited nursing or physician associate program.
  • Appropriate North Carolina State Licensure to practice without restrictions from the NCMB or NCBON
  • Prescriptive authorization including. DEA and DEA X Waiver or willingness to obtain required.
  • Experience providing primary care.
  • Proficiency with medical instruments and equipment required to perform your work.
  • Knowledge of computer-based data management programs and information systems, as well as medical records and point-of interview technology.
  • A sound understanding of all pertinent federal and state regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of disease prevention.

Pay: $47.00 - $53.00 per hour
