We’re hiring immediately and we will train you! Vitalant is currently seeking entry-level phlebotomists to help our dedicated team provide blood to local hospitals and patients. Whether you are just starting your career, or if you’re new to the blood banking industry, we’re here to train, mentor, and help you grow.
Our ideal candidate is looking for variable shift options and is excited to travel within local counties to deliver comfortable, convenient, and consistent blood donation experiences to our volunteer donors.
As a mobile phlebotomist, most days you’ll attend a blood drive around the community; other days you’ll be at a fixed site working with many of our regular donors and greeting many by name. Every day you’ll be having fun making a measurable difference in your community.

What to Expect
5% mobile premium
8% weekend premium
Work Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday
We’re looking for someone who can:

• Greet blood donors and make them comfortable with the procedure, answering questions about the process as needed
• Draw blood (PAID TRAINING PROVIDED)
• Safely pack and store blood for transport
• Deliver blood to proper laboratory personnel
• Drive the company vehicle as needed
• Work as part of a team to achieve daily production goals
• Ensure equipment, vehicles, and facilities are in good working order
• Maintain accurate records

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid in-state driver’s license
• At least six months work experience
• Basic PC/Windows proficiency

REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge/Education
High School graduate or GED required.
Licenses/Certifications
Valid in–state driver’s license preferred.
Experience
Minimum six months work experience preferred.
Skills/Abilities
Must possess the skills and abilities to successfully perform all assigned duties and responsibilities.
Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Basic working knowledge of Windows operating system, keyboard usage and PC.
Must be able to read and comprehend written procedures and instructions.
Must be able to work flexible shifts, varied schedules, overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Must have good customer service and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a team environment and participate as an active team member.
Ability to travel, as required.
Must be trained and knowledgeable in using and maintaining equipment associated with the collection of whole blood components.
