Pharmacy Technician

Pay rate: $20-$22 per hour.

Work Location: Phoenix, AZ 85018

Job Description:

We are looking to hire a Pharmacy Technician that values putting patients first! You will be responsible for data entry, inventory management, patient phone calls, and exceptional in-person customer service. You will also be responsible for evaluating written prescriptions, as well as recording and verifying patient information while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with regulations.

A successful candidate will display excellent communication skills and an affinity for great customer service and be bilingual (Spanish). You must be comfortable with working in a fast-paced work environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Evaluate orders for appropriateness of drug, dosage, and route of administration
• Discuss therapies with patients and health care providers to help make the right decision for the patient
• Update and maintain a patient database to include appropriate current and past medical history, appropriate clinical and laboratory data, and concurrent medication therapy to include OTC products and other therapeutic alternatives
• Document all communication with patients, caregivers, and other health care professionals
• Maintain all required documentation in accordance with federal and state regulatory agencies
• Begin the process of clinical tasks to include, diagnostic screenings and tests, and immunizations
• Inventory management
• Must have attention to detail and excel at multitasking
• Performs other tasks as assigned

Licenses/Certifications:

• Active and unrestricted Arizona Pharmacy technician license
• Pharmacy Technician License in Arizona (Required)
• PTCB Certification (Preferred)
• High school or equivalent (Required)

Education and Experience:

• 3 years of high-paced retail, specialty, and/or compounding experience
• Excellent judgment skills
• Knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulations (state and federal)
• Must have a dynamic, outgoing personality! Must be willing to engage with patients, staff, and providers at all times.
