Pharmacy Technician (Apprentice)

Belfast Drug Company is focused on providing every patient with an outstanding pharmacy/healthcare experience. As part of our team, you will focus on getting to know members of the community and assisting them with their pharmacy needs.

We are looking for a dependable Pharmacy Technician that will process and fill prescriptions while providing an amazing patient experience! You will undertake other tasks under the direction of a pharmacist to provide excellent customer service and ensure the pharmacy runs smoothly.

As a pharmacy technician you must be detail-oriented and reliable since the job has high responsibility. You must possess excellent communication skills as well as aptitude in using computers. A friendly, caring and outgoing personality is a must.

MUST be able to stand for the entire 8-9 hour shift.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients promptly with a smile and answer questions

• Receive prescriptions, process electronically and ensure all information is complete and accurate

• Resolve issues when they arise (e.g. rejected insurance claims)

• Select the appropriate medicine and follow all safety protocols to ensure its accuracy

• Multi-taking and prioritizing tasks

• Answering and making phone calls in a professional manner with patients, providers and insurance companies

• Inventory management

• Undertake administrative tasks (e.g. record-keeping) as assigned

• Comply with all security measures and quality standards

Pay: $31,000.00 - $42,000.00 per year
