Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center in beautiful Salida, CO is seeking a FT - 32 to 40 hours per week, Pharmacy Revenue Optimization and Informatics Specialistt to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals.

Education : Pharmacy Revenue Optimization and Informatics Specialist

• Must hold a degree in Pharmacy
• PharmD and a masters in Pharmacy Informatics is preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a pharmacy revenue/chargemaster role.
• Experience with Alaris pump data sets and 340B programs is preferred.
• Medicare billing certificate is preferred.

CERTIFICATIONS and/or LICENSING

• Active pharmacist license and able to obtain a license in the State of Colorado within 1 year of hire

ESSENTIAL DUTIES PER AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY

1. Ensure processes are in place to standardize the Pharmacy chargemaster in all areas where pharmaceuticals are administered and billed.
2. Setup outpatient clinics pharmacy billing in current EHR and maintain the chargemaster going forward.
3. Audit high cost drugs to ensure they are billed and coded correctly throughout the hospital and all clinics, including verification of submission of 340b accumulation data and documented cost savings.
4. Implement process improvement projects for workflow improvements around revenue integrity and charge practices.
5. Support and assist with 340B program

6. Identify and analyze the root causes of denials and develop corrective action plans to reduce and address denied pharmacy claims.
7. Provide clinical pharmacy expertise to assist the denials team in overturning denials.
8. Collaborate with Patient Financial Services to track high-cost medications for appropriate reimbursement.
9. Actively research and stay current with medication charging and revenue related compliance topics.
10. Update and maintain Alaris pump data sets.
11. Participate in IAG (Informatics Advisory Group)
12. Make pharmacy formulary recommendations to improve pharmacy revenues, operating costs without compromising patient outcomes
