JOB OVERVIEW:

TITLE: Pharmacy Operation Specialist

LOCATION: Sacramento, CA

DURATION: 6 Month Contract with possible extension.

PAY RATE: $25/hr. - $27/hr. on W2.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Expert on all operations subject matter. Responsible for training, tracking, and working with Supervisor to maintain Standard Operating Procedures for all operational functions. 20%

• Creator of daily schedules that comply with state pharmacy law and complies with production goals. Evaluates production, gives work direction, and helps resolve operational problems. 20%

• Organizes and sustains the site’s comprehensive training program, including mandatory McKesson training and refresher training. 20%

• Navigates through large amounts of data during research process for pharmacy incident reports to determine root cause. 15%

• Leads the internal shipping process to meet contractual pickup times. The Lead is a primary individual that validates accuracy when completing the shipping process. 15%

• Operational tracker controller. Maintains and evaluates record keeping trackers that help support management and the business. 10%

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Training:

• High School Degree or equivalent experience.

• AA or equivalent work experience.

• 2-year operation experience.

Business Experience:

• Previous experience in a Lead position preferred.

• Intermediate computer literacy (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Microsoft Teams, etc.).

Specialized Knowledge/Skills:

• Understanding of Central Fill production.

• Capability to build a complex production schedule.

• Knowledge of pharmacy law & regulation

• Pharmacy technician experience preferred but not required.

• Experienced in analyzing data and conditions in real time and adjusting as needed.

• Demonstrates excellent communication skills. Both verbal and written communication to support the business.

Working Conditions/Environment (Office, warehouse, etc.):

• Large scale pharmacy/warehouse production environment

• High energy production environment

• Exposure to cold conditions in refrigerated walk-in station (5%-7% time)

• Occasional handling of environmentally hazardous medications

• Closely monitored and legally complaint regulations

• Open to flexible hours to support McKesson, the team, and our customer; must also be open to adjusting shift and overtime as needed based on business requirements.

Physical Requirements (Lifting, standing, etc.):

• Lifting and carrying < 15lbs

• Occasional work in the warehouse (picking/packing, etc.)

• Walking warehouse floor four to six house per day

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

• West Sacramento, CA 95605: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
