Personal Bond Officer Job at Galveston County
Description
The purpose of this class is to ensure each detainee receives the opportunity for a fair and affordable bond amount. Once a personal bond is approved, appropriate documents are completed in a timely manner.
Job Responsibilities
- Investigates and prepares bond documents.
- Interviews inmates during jail intake regarding the inmate’s finances.
- Reviews bond amounts set by courts using written guidelines.
- Investigates and interviews arrestees to determine if they qualify for pre-trial release.
- Reviews, tracks and submits listings of all misdemeanor inmates who qualify for pretrial release but lack the ability to pay required fees.
- Responds to queries regarding release through the pre-trial agency.
- Investigates and prepares bond documents.
- Reviews all bonds posted by other investigators.
- Performs related work as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Requires six months of experience in social work, human resources customer service or closely related experience.
