Provides management expertise to support the Master Singers of Virginia

§ Serves as first point of contact for anyone who contacts the MSVA and promptly responds to requests or any issues that arise.

§ Coordinates all details supporting rehearsals and performances including negotiation of site rentals for rehearsals and concerts, and operating the concert box office.

§ Ensures that non-profit best practices are followed by the board in critical areas such as insurance, and governance matters.

Ensures that the MSVA operates within budget

§ Works with Treasurer to develop annual budget and recommends budget adjustments should revenue not meet anticipated projections.

§ Analyzes ticket sales and prepares financial reports for the board and ASCAP filings.

Manages marketing and outreach

§ Works with artistic director to translate his creative vision into print and virtual concert promotions.

§ Builds Eventbrite ticketing platform each season.

§ Ensures that the MSVA web site is updated.

§ Email marketing for concert promotions.

§ Analyzes ticket sales and ensures that new attendees are added to mailing lists.

§ Creates concert promotion campaigns including creation of flyers, postcards, blurbs in Visit Loudoun (etc.) and outreach to local press.

§ Coordinates promotional materials with designer and manages the printing process.

§ Promotes the MSVA in social media sites such as Facebook and Patch

§ Conducts specialized outreach to support special concerts

Creates the Concert Program

§ Collects content for each concert program

§ Manages design and printing process for program

Writes Grant Applications and Follow-up materials to Potential Sponsors

§ Identifies potential grant sources and writes grant applications.

§ Conducts follow-up with corporate sponsors and drafts letters for singers to customize when approaching potential funders.

§ Ensures that logos for business sponsors are consistent on web site, in program and in marketing materials.

Coordinates auditions for singers and hires professional musicians to support concerts.

§ Vets audition candidates and arranges audition times.

§ Contacts professional musicians and creates artist agreements for each musician so that they may be paid.

§ Ensures that professional musicians receive music and that music is returned after the concert.

Pay: $8,800.00 per year
