We have an exciting opportunity to join Hillcrest Medical Center as a Performance Improvement Specialist.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Performance Improvement Specialist Supports a culture of continuous improvement with a hands-on approach. Ensures alignment to the Hillcrest Health System operational plan, by initiating, leading, and facilitating strategic process improvement projects and utilizing project management principles within the business and clinical areas of Hillcrest Health System. Promotes a culture of excellence through the facilitation of a robust daily management program; providing training, expert coaching and team leadership, and assisting employees and department leaders in making strategies actionable. Engages in constant and collaborative internal and external communication regarding best practices and continuous improvement initiatives

Responsibilities:
  • Assess and interpret data about the patient’s status in order to identify each patient’s age specific needs and provide the care needed by patient groups.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of cultural diversity, the ability to provide care and service and exhibit the communication skill necessary to interact effectively with the customer.
  • Learn new tools and techniques for process development, train others and scale them throughout the organization
  • Lead and facilitate process improvement team projects from inception through execution to ensure sustainability. Provide problem-solving and PI subject matter expertise to team projects.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt credentials preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in the healthcare industry
Knowledge and Abilities:
  • Proven ability to motivate and engage team members
  • Expertise knowledge of Change Management
