Pellet Mill Operator - 3rd shift Job at Smith Creek
General Job Description:
- Operators are required to maintain the pellet mill and bagging system, use simple math skills, follow proper procedures, lift up to 40 pounds during the course of an 8 hour shift.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Quality control of pellets produced from the operator with machine adjustments.
- Use of other equipment such as forklift, pneumatic tools, hand tools, dial indicators, ,
- Bag roll change outs, making adjustments as needed for stacking pallet.
- Stretch wrap finished pallet product, move with forklift to stage area or flat bed trailer.
- Keep area neat, clean at all times through general housekeeping duties ensuring a better quality product and working environment.
Qualifications:
- Able to follow basic instructions.
- Work independently at times.
- Communicate effectively with maintenance staff on mechanical issues.
- Strive to achieve production goals.
- Adhere to Company policies and rules set forth, promote Company’s safety standards and does not take inappropriate risks.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
