This is a part time (0.4 - 0.6 Status), night shift Registered Nurse position in the Pediatrics department.

The RN utilizes nursing process in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care of pediatric patients from admission to department through discharge or transfer. Provides expert care and education to patients in clinical setting, acts as patient advocate, leader, and mentor for assistive personnel. Knowledgeable in clinical nursing procedures, disease processes, interventions, and pharmacological agents. Manages patient loads in assigned timelines.

Minimum Required: RN License required. BLS for Healthcare Provider upon hire and PALS within six (6) months of hire. One (1) year pediatric or related critical care experience required. Recent hospital experience and/or previous nursing practice experience required. Proficient in English, verbal and written communication skills, and computer skills required.

Preferred / Desired: BSN Preferred. Previous Pediatric Acute Care and Pediatric Critical Care experience strongly preferred.

On Call / Weekend Requirements: Every Third weekend.

Experience

• 1 year(s): Pediatric or related critical care experience.
• Recent hospital experience and/or previous nursing practice experience.

• Previous Pediatric Acute Care and Pediatric Critical Care experience.

Education

• Associates or better in Nursing or related field
