Texas Children's Hospital (TCH) is opening a North Austin Campus including a comprehensive Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The North Austin Campus will provide a full scope of care for both pediatric and women's services. Texas Children's Hospital presence in Austin helps deliver regional coordination of care and is synergistic to the core services offered at our Texas Medical Center campus in Houston.
One of the largest pediatric hospitals in the United States, with 897 licensed beds, TCH provides the best possible pediatric patient care, education, and research. It is the highest ranked pediatric hospital in the south and the only pediatric hospital in Texas ranked in US News & World Report, ranking #2 overall in 2022.
Summary
The faculty at TCH are within the Department of Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine (COM). Baylor COM fosters diversity among its students, trainees, faculty, and staff as a prerequisite to accomplishing our institutional mission and setting standards for excellence in training healthcare providers and biomedical scientists, promoting scientific innovation, and providing patient-centered care. The Division of Neonatology within TCH/Baylor COM is home to more than 100 faculty who provide coverage for healthy and critically ill newborns within the TCH West Tower, TCH Pavilion for Women, Ben Taub Hospital, community affiliate sites within the Houston Methodist and St. Luke’s Hospital Systems. We are now adding a comprehensive delivery service for high-risk mothers and a 14 bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit within the TCH North Austin Campus. Texas Children's Hospital is a recognized leader in the treatment of babies born with complications or prematurity and provides care for more than 1,800 infants each year in the Texas Children's Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs), making us one of the largest, most experienced NICUs in the country. We provide all services that critically ill or premature babies might need, including on-site neonatologists available 24/7, fetal interventions/surgery, the highest level of respiratory support, ECMO, advanced imaging, pediatric surgery, pediatric anesthesiology, and more. Qualifications:
- Minimum Education: M.D., D.O. or equivalent
- Minimum Certification/Licenses/Registration: Licensed by the Texas Medical Board
