SIGN-ON BONUS - RANGE FROM $1,000-$3,000 (dependent upon status)

We are currently hiring for Radiologic Technologists who are dedicated to their job and excited to grow as a professional. KidMed is a dynamic pediatric urgent care practice in which we care for our patients within a team-oriented, supportive, and collaborative environment. Open Statuses:

Full-time: 4 shifts/week

Part-time: 2 shifts/week

PRN: About 1-4 shifts per month and on an as-needed basis.

Hours of Operation:

Monday: 12pm-8pm

Tuesday-Thursday: 1pm-9pm

Friday: 1pm-8pm

Saturday – Sunday: 10am-8pm

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Properly setting up, operating, and closing down the radiologic equipment used in the medical diagnosis of patients.
  • Positioning patients to safely and accurately obtain an X-ray
  • Adjusting radiographic controls to specifications for proper timing of exposure using ALARA (As Low as Reasonably Achievable).
  • Maintaining quality control checks to ensure equipment meets the standards required by law.
  • Cleaning, maintaining, and performing minor adjustments to radiologic equipment, including evaluation for repairs.
  • Protecting patient/families, self, and other staff from radiologic hazards and ensuring the safety of patients when using equipment.
  • Assisting other clinical staff with rooming patients and other clinical duties
  • Conveying respect of patient’s rights and treating all patients with dignity and compassion.
  • Performing and assisting with splinting as directed by provider.
  • Providing patient teaching such as crutch teaching and circulation.
  • Practicing and promoting positive customer and peer relations while fostering a learning work environment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of diagnostic radiographic procedure.
  • Knowledge of how disease and injuries are diagnosed and imaged radio-graphically.
  • Knowledge of human anatomy.
  • Ability to set up, operate, clean, and troubleshoot radiology equipment.
  • Ability to notice detail in drawings and differences in shapes and shading.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Required Education/Experience:

  • Associates degree in Radiologic Technology or Certificate of Completion of Radiologic Technology from an accredited school
  • Certification by state licensing board
  • Updated ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) credentials
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • One year experience as a Radiologic Technologist (preferred)
  • Pediatric experience (preferred)
