We are Looking for:

Someone who is an experienced Patient Service Representative for a multi-specialty medical practice. The Patient Service Representative provides services for new and returning patients, coordinates financial responsibilities, and ensures that patient is able to be seen in a timely fashion by verifying patient’s information is up to date. Communicates with patients if there have been any changes.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Welcomes patients and visitors in person; answering calls and referring inquiries
  • Optimizes patient satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments in person.
  • Keeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying the provider of patient’s arrival; reviewing service delivery compared to schedule; reminding provider of service delays.
  • Ensures availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient’s records.
  • Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
  • Pre-registers patients by obtaining patient demographics and insurance information when necessary.
  • Applies the policies of the clinical entity to schedule appointments.
  • Performs related duties as required.

Requirements:

  • High school or equivalent
  • 2 years customer service and/or clinical experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
