$2,500 sign on bonus for eligible applicants
Scheduled hours: 6:30am-3:00pm and 2:30pm-11pm
Job Description:
Provides basic patient care under the direction of a licensed nurse. Provides high quality care to the following patient populations: Adult and Geriatric populations. Includes diagnoses of (but not limited to) detoxification, psychiatric issues, conditions and behaviors, and dementia.
Daily duties:
- Attend group huddles
- Complete beginning of shift report
- Pass ice pitchers and fresh ice water
- Ensure patients have appropriate items to complete ADL’s
- Use of safe patient handling equipment
- Point of care documentation
- Assist with intake and output
- Communication with patients and families
- Communication with nursing staff
- Communication with paired C.N.A.
- Tidying of patient rooms
- Stocking of supplies
- Delegation of tasks from nursing staff
- Lead daily groups as assigned
- Every 15 minutes safety check
- The ability of taking care of people and making a positive impact on their care
Qualifications:
Preferred:
Previous psychiatric care experience preferred.
