Patient Care Coordinator / Orders Coordinator Job at All About Home Care
- At least 1 year medical home health care administrative experience required.
- Job duties may be modified based on experience and fit within company.
- Send and receive physicians orders.
- Track orders and follow up with hospitals, doctor's offices, etc. to ensure timely receipt of documentation.
- Completing coordination with referring and community providers.
- Assisting the patient with establishing a primary care physician when there is a need.
- Researching and identifying community providers when it is unclear who the follow-up physician is.
- Attaining medical records from other practices.
- Responding to medical record requests from other providers and insurance companies.
- Assisting with intake and scheduling when the need arises.
- Conduct self in a professional and courteous manner.
- Display a positive attitude and perseverance when challenged.
- Perform daily office activities as needed.
- Responsible for answering the telephone and receiving messages in a pleasant and professional manner.
- Receives and submits faxed information and e-mail.
- Ensure confidentiality of all protected health information.
- Ensure faxed information is submitted to and received by the appropriate person.
- Assist in the production and completion of requested documents including plans of care and other documents as requested.
- Ensures all documents produced are grammatically correct and spelled correctly.
- Ensures all office equipment is working and maintained.
- Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
- Provides information by answering questions and requests.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Resolves administrative problems by coordinating preparation of reports, analyzing data, and identifying solutions.
- Spanish speaking preferred

Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
