TITLE: Parts Crib Attendant
REPORTS TO: Parts Crib Coordinator
SUPERVISES: None
JOB CLASS: Hourly
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY:
This position will be responsible for maintaining inventory of the Parts Crib and issuing items on an as needed basis.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Utilize forklift to complete tasks as required.
- Communicate well with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Computer literate and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously under deadline pressure.
- Issue parts crib items out on an as needed basis.
- Receives, identifies and stocks components per outlined procedures. Maintains all data in CMMS system.
- Responsible for organization and housekeeping (6S) of parts crib.
- Gather usage information to ensure proper min / max levels of parts crib components.
- Communicates with all departments to ensure proper supplies are stored in parts crib.
- Periodically cycle counts inventory to ensure accuracy and ensure no component shortages. ABC analysis on all parts.
- Prepares BOM for each piece of equipment requiring spare parts.
- Communicates with vendors to ensure timely ordering and delivery of components.
- Assists in the preparation or purchase orders.
- Actively participates in the continuous improvement, KAIZEN events of parts crib operations.
- Prepares and arranges for shipping out items for repair.
- Check one note/turn over daily and respond to emails on promptly matter.
- Order MAR parts and Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI).
- Maintain and update Treadstone
- Responsible for Kitting Maintenance Work Orders.
- Cycle count Metal and Lexan in Maintenance Shop
- Complete assigned tasks in a timely matter and meet projects deadline.
- Prepares, build and cut internal supplies required weekly (Ink lines, Blue Filters, Tubing, Etc.)
- Take ownership of maintaining 6S standards of shared work areas.
JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Basic understanding of maintenance flow process as related to manufacturing, distribution and other associate facilities.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- Ability to use measuring tools.
- Knowledge of basic tools and their functions.
Qualifications - External
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be able to read, understand and follow written and verbal work instructions.
- Visual aptitude - must be able to see, with or without correction.
- Communication - ability to communicate verbally or non-verbally.
- Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds.
- Ability to perform a standing consecutively throughout assigned shift.
- Must be able to walk, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, reach and grasp for varying periods of time during assigned shift.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
- 2 years’ experience in parts crib preferred.
- CMMS systems and SAP experience preferred.
