SUMMARY:

Takes orders and provides exceptional service for guests in the Premium Seating Areas. Ensures accurate and timely delivery of both food and beverage items to guests while also ensuring the needs of the guests are met.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES DEPENDING ON LOCATION:

OPERATIONS:

  • Accurately enter orders into the point-of-sale system so that kitchen staff can prepare food and bar staff can prepare drinks, as needed.

  • Collaborate with restaurant servers and kitchen and bar staff.

  • Perform opening, closing, cleaning, and side work (minor restaurant maintenance/prepping) duties, as assigned.

  • Ensure all equipment and workspaces are clean, sanitized, organized, and working properly.


GUEST SERVICES:

  • Greet guests, provides menus, clearly communicates restaurant specials, answers questions about menu items, collects food and beverage orders, serves items ordered, and attends to guests' needs throughout their visit.

  • Serve alcoholic beverages responsibly, requests identification, and adheres to all alcohol service policies and procedures.

  • Prepare and deliver the check to guests at the table, accept and process the payment.

Minimum Requirements

MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED).

At least one year’s experience as a server in a high-volume environment is preferred.

Previous experience with a point-of-sale system in a service or hospitality environment preferred.

Experience in cash handling and credit card processing is required.

Strong interpersonal skills, self motivation, and organization skills required.

Must be 21 years old or older.

Food Handler and Responsible Beverage Service certification required


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS OR STANDARDS REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS


LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Must be able to read, write and understand English. Second language in Spanish is helpful but not required. Requires the ability to follow verbal and written instructions, guidelines, and objectives. Requires the ability to effectively and respectfully present information one-on-one, small, and large group situations to customers, management, and employees of the organization.


MATHEMATIC SKILLS:

Requires the ability to apply basic math concepts; calculating figures and amounts such as discounts, portions, percentages, and volume.


REASONING ABILITY:

Requires the ability to carry out general written or oral instructions. Must be able to multitask, prioritize work and pay attention to detail.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Constant standing, walking/moving, bending, reaching, and repetitive motions. Ability to maneuver between tables and around corners. Visual acuity and hearing sufficient to take orders and prepare checks. Must be able to stand for the entire shift, ability to walk/move during the entire shift; may include walking up and down stairs. Ability to clearly communicate verbally with customers. Must be able to move, lift or carry heavy objects or materials up to 50 pounds.


WORK CONDITIONS AND HAZARDS:

Work is regularly performed in a loud stadium arena. There may be exposure to loud noises such as crowd cheering, fireworks, announcements, food fumes, alcohol fumes, or airborne particles. The employee typically works outside and can be exposed to extreme heat or extreme cold. Will occasionally work near moving mechanical parts and may be exposed to humid and hot conditions as well as cleaning chemicals.
