Part-time Math Tutor Job at St. Johns River State College
This position provides high-quality tutoring to students taking developmental and general education math courses. Provides basic assistance with Office products, MySJRstate, Canvas, and other academic support resources. Assists the Academic Support Coordinator in maintaining a student-focused, welcoming, academic atmosphere. Documentation of subject mastery including earning a minimum grade of B in relevant subjects at the college level required. Tutoring or teaching experience preferred. Previous work experience required; customer service or office experience preferred. Two professional references required. Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma required; A.A./A.S. degree or higher preferred. This position is up to 20 hours/week while classes are in session. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to be employed at SJR State. This position is not eligible for Veteran’s preference. Applicant must pass verification of employment/reference screening and background check.
