POSITION VACANCY POSITION: Post-secondary Industrial/Constructional Electricity Instructor (part-time M-F 5-10p)

DISTRICT: Scioto County Career Technical Center

REPORTS TO: Adult Trades Coordinator

STARTING DATE: January 2023

SALARY RANGE: Commensurate upon experience

BENEFITS: No benefits (part-time)

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Five years recent occupational work experience in residential, commercial and industrial electricity required

Demonstrated knowledge of National Electrical Codes required

Demonstrated knowledge in the reading of architectural, schematic and line drawings required

Demonstrated knowledge of residential, commercial, and industrial electricity, motor controls and related electrical systems required

Background check & TB clearance required

Associates degree and teaching experience preferred

Certification or licensure in a trade or certification area

Eligible to obtain an Ohio Department of Education/Adult Education Permit

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide classroom/lab instruction as determined by the Adult Trades Programs Coordinator

Teach industrial electricity curriculum

Installation of motor controls, relays, logic o Wire 3-phase motors

Transformers

Timers

Single phase and three phase circuits, AC/DC circuits

Instruct from program approved textbooks and materials: instruction shall include lectures, review sessions, student examination, and grading

Develop syllabi and lesson plans based upon curriculum

Conduct individual student evaluations

Submit individual student evaluations weekly

Perform other duties as assigned
